Sonadow the lovely intern ch. 3

"Shadow, I have to go... My pagers going crazy, I have to go see my new petient." Emerald eyes looked up into dissapointed crimson. "Fine." Shadow let go of Sonic, stepping away from his boyfriend. Sonic sighed, standing on his tippy toes and kissing the other on his lips quickly, before walking out of the on call room, leaving Shadow all by himself.

"Dr. Helen, what took you so long?" "Sorry Dr. Kepner, I was busy..." The white bat sighed. "Don't be late to your page again... Come, you have a new patient." Sonic nodded quickly, following behind the other doctor, entering a private patient room, seeing Iggy in there as well, and Dr. Styles.
He finally looked over the patient, a female cat, she was very pretty, and seemed fine, sitting up, looking normal. 'What the hell's wrong with her than?' To the left of her was a male wolf, looking very strict and as if he was ready to get down to bussiness. "Dr. Sloan, present." Dr. Styles instructed, glancing at Sonic who just walked in. "Uh, oh, yeah. Yumi Okamoto, age 27, she's here because she has had constant hiccups." 'Wait...what? Hiccups, that's seriously why she's here??' Sonic shook his head, not saying anything. Dr. Kepner looked the girl over. "And how long have you had the hiccups?" The girl went to speak but got cut off by the male. "She doesn't speak english. She's had the hiccups since her last match." "Oh cool, does she do sports?" Iggy butted in, grinning, that is, until Dr. Styles spoke up. "Dr. Sloan, I don't think you should be discussing this at the moment, it's not very perfessional." "No, she goes into eating contests, one of the best in the world." The wolf corrected. Iggy widened his grin, but kept his mouth shut. Sonic's face went from bored to shocked. 'That tiny girl, is a freakin' world known eating contestant??' Dr. Kepner nodded at the information, taking the chart from Iggy and writing it down, before saying. "And, you are?" The male almost looked taken back, before regaining himself and answering. "Yutaka Takeuchi. If you must know, I'm her couch." "Hm, thank you. That is all we needed to know." The white bat smiled, waving a hand at Sonic to summon him to follow her out the door.

Once they were out the door Sonic piped up. "No freakin' way he's telling the truth, she's so tiny!" Rouge glanced at Sonic, slightly shocked. "Dr. Helen...he is telling the truth, I've heard of her before, she's a pretty mean eater." Rouges face lightened up, smiling breifly at Sonic, for him to smile slightly in return. "Oh, Sonic...have you seen Shadow lately?" Sonic silently gasped, looking at Rouge like she was crazy. "You...just called me by my first name... And you called Shadow by his too!" Dr. Kepner giggled, soon replying. "Yeah, so? I consider you an acquintence and I'm getting tired of calling you by your last name, is it okay if I call you Sonic?" "Y-Yeah, it's fine, I guess... Does that mean I get to call you by your first name?" Rouge shrugged. "It doesn't bother me any. But back to my question, have you seen Shadz around lately?" Sonic puffed out his cheeks, blushing lightly. "I saw him early, before you paged me..." Rouge smiled. "Oh really, where was he? Was he busy?" 'He was about to get busy...with me~' "He was, uh, in an on call room." Now she frowned, going confused. "How would you know that?" "I-I was in there with him... Why are you asking so many questions anyway?!" Sonic blushed, looking at Rouge then snapping his head in another direction, as her mind clicked and she grinned. "You weren't~" Sonic gasped, blushing even more. "O-Of course not! What would possibly make you think such a thing?!" "Well, it's just, you...and Shadow, alone...in an on call room, with beds~ And, you were late to your page today~" She giggled once more, looking at the flustered Sonic, who didn't have anything to say about that, or her teasing. "Look, we were not doing...anything!" Sonic tried to calm himself down, looking for a way to get away from her. "Okay, whatever you say Blue~ It would make sense though, Shadow's been acting
different lately, happier, and he's joking around alot more." Sonic looked over Rouges face, looking to see if she was joking. "Seriously? He's acting different now?" "Yep~" Sonic grinned. "Are you and Shadow close friends?" "Uh, yes. Me and Silver are actually his best friends, he doesn't have alot...Ecspecially outside of the hospital. Why are you asking?" Sonic shrugged casually. "I was just wondering." "Mm-hmm. Alright then. Will you atleast lead me to where he's at... I have to ask him something very important." "Sure. Um, what exactly are you gonna ask him?" Rouge smirked slightly. "Well, it's just, me and him have been close for some time, and I just wanted to ask if he wanted to be my boyfriend." Sonic stopped in his tracks, glaring at the attending. "He can't be your boyfriend, sorry." Dr. Kepner acted shocked, looking back at the ferious intern. "And why can't he? I don't think you have a right to say." The blue one growled loudly, becoming quite jealous. "I think I do have a right to say. 'Cause he's my boyfriend and no one else can have him!" He gradually got louder until he was yelling the last bit, still growling. Finally, Rouge bursted out laughing. Sonic slowly opened his eyes, very confused. "W-Why are you laughing?" "'Cause, it's so easy to get you to
tell me things! I don't like Shadow, if anything, I see him as a little brother." Sonic sweat dropped, relaxing abit. "S-Sorry...Rouge. For blowing up at you." She quieted her laughing, grinning at him. "It's alright, I got the information I wanted. But seriously, I do need to go see him...we can go together." Sonic soon smiled, nodding and walking beside her again, leading the way to the on call room Shadow was in, hoping he would still be there.

Sonic stopped outside the door, glancing at Rouge before opening it quietly, peeking inside, finding a sleeping Shadow. He opened the door all the way now, walking inside, realizing Shadow had his shirt off and was snoring silently. Sonic then leaned over Shadow, whispering to the other. "Shadz, wake up... I'm done with my patient now." Shadow turned over onto his back, opening one way and looking Sonic over, before smirking and grabbing Sonic's waist, pulling Sonic to lay ontop of him. Sonic blushed heavily, laying ontop of Shadow, with the others shirt off. "Hmm, all my patients are stable, we should just lay her with each other~..." Shadow whispered sleepily, running his hands up and down Sonic's back slowly. The blue one purred loudly, nuzzling into the others chest, smiling, and forgetting all about Rouge. The white bat peeked her head inside the room, smirking. "My, my, Shadow, never thought I'd see the day...you, falling for an intern. How cute~" Shadow jumped at the sudden voice, looking past Sonic, staring at his amused best friend, blushing. "S-Sonic, did you know Rouge was there this whole time?" "Hmm, yeah~..." Sonic was in a trance with getting his back rubbed, which stopped soon after Rouge walked in, making him frown. "Wh-What do you want?" Shadow asked, he didn't say it in a mean way, just curious. She giggled, going over and sitting on another bed across the room. "I just came to tell you that Mrs. Pelton can be discharged today...she's stable enough. I just need you to sign the papers to confirm it." Shadow groaned, throwing his head back, and closing his eyes. "Can't you do it? You're an attending! I just wanna lay here and relax for alittle bit, the 17 hour surgery I did yesterday has made me so tired... I haven't gotten any sleep yet." Rouge rolled her eyes giggling. "Awh, you poor baby... You just want to lay in a bed with Sonic instead of actually doing your job~" She joked, getting a threatening glare from her close friend, beforing putting her hands up. "Fine Shadow, I'll be the responsible one and go fordge your name on the papers..." Sonic sweat dropped, looking at the white bat who was getting up and walking towards the door, thinking to himself. "Responsible? Not the right word for fordging a name on an important peice of paper..." Once the door closed, Shadow looked at Sonic, smiling. They were finally alone. "Sonikku...why don't you take off your shirt too~" Sonic blushed, looking up at Shadow. "U-Uh...okay..." The blue one sat up, so he was sitting on Shadow's lap, and something else, of course Shadow didn't mind, he just smirked, slowly removing Sonic's shirt and throwing it on the ground. Sonic smiled softly, laying back ontop of Shadow and nuzzling the others chest. The older one purred loudly, loving the feeling of their bare chests touching. Sonic was the one to get aroused though, he slowly started kissing Shadow's chest, still blushing heavily, purring aswell. Shadow's breath hitched, starting to moan quietly, closing his eyes again, and running his hands up and down Sonic's sides. The blue one stopped, moving his face up to Shadow's and smiling lovingly. Shadow smiled back, nuzzling Sonic's cheek softly, his ears twitching at Sonic's lips that graced them whenever he nuzzled the others cheek. Sonic smirked, taking the tip of Shadow's ear in his mouth, nibbling on it. Shadow ceased his movements, his eyes widening as great pleasure went through his body, Sonic had found it. He shivered as Sonic's tongue teasingly poked the tip of his ear, making him moan the others name. "S-Sonic~..." Sonic blushed even more, nibbling the others ear for awhile before stopping, and laying his head back on Shadow's chest, suddenly tired, he yawned, nuzzling into Shadow's chest fur, closing his eyes. Shadow smiled down at him and kissed his forehead, closing his own eyes. "G'night Sonic~" "Good night Shadow..."

"Shadow, I'm not hungry, please don't drag me along with you..." Silver sighed, knowing Shadow would bring him along, whether he wanted to or not. "Silv, just come along, I promise, todays lunch will be awesome." The black and red one looked at Silver smirking, making the other sweat drop. "Shadow, I swear...if you start a food fight and I get dirty, I'll kill you." "Nah, it's not a food fight, but...that is an awesome idea, I haven't thought about doing that~"

Once Silver got to his usual table he sat down, next to Rouge, waiting for the others to come with their food. "Do you have any idea what they're gonna do?" Rouge didn't even look up from her magizene, only flipping a page and replying to Silver's question. "I have no idea...you never know with them, I have found out recently. Shadow and Sonic are full of suprises~" She glanced up at Silver, winking. "What? What are you talking about?" "Shadow didn't tell you?" She said, actually shocked. 'Were they trying to keep their relationship a secret? Shit...' Silver was now very confused. "Tell me what?" Rouge shook her head, putting on a smile. "Just that Mrs. Pelton got discharged today." Silver cut his eyes at her. "That's all?" He sighed and shook his head, now seeing Iggy, Sonic, and Shadow sitting down at the table, their trays piled with five hot dogs and a bottle of water. "I'm gonna regret asking... But what in the hell are you guys doing with all that food?" Rouge sweat dropped, looking over the three hedgehogs. "We're having a hotdog eating contest." Sonic said, licking his lips and looking the food over. "I wish they were chili dogs but, this'll do~" "You and your damn chili dogs." Shadow muttered, smirking at Sonic, for the other to stick out his tongue at Shadow. "Stop flirting guys, lets do this already!" Iggy chuckled, not knowing about Sonic and Shadow's relationship just yet. Sonic blushed lightly, before shaking his head and saying. "Alright Ig, take a chill pill. Okay, ready...Nu! No touching!" Sonic interrupted himself, pointing at Iggy, who was already picking up a hotdog, Iggy cussed under his breath and dropped it, glaring at Sonic. Sonic grinned, continuing now. "...Go!" Shadow and Sonic started stuffing hotdogs down their throats, holding one with one hand and using the other to stuff the dogs in their mouth. Iggy on the other hand had a different tactic, he quickly removed all the winniers from their buns and started eating those first, two at a time. The other two were behind, Sonic having two left and Shadow having two and a half. Then, when Iggy finished with those, he moved on to the buns, pouring water on them to make them soggy, making all the buns into one and then eating it.

Rouge stared at the three, disgusted, Silver's facial expression the same as hers. "Uh...do you have any idea why they're doing this?" Silver asked Rouge, not taking his eyes off the others at the table. She shrugged. "I'm guessing they got the idea becuase of that famous eater that's at the hospital." "Oh yeah, I forgot about her... We should check up on her soon."

Iggy finished first, swallowing a big lump of soggy, wet bread, and then stood up, saying happily, "I won~! I won~!" and doing a litte dance, grinning. Shadow threw the half eaten hot dog down, his mouth completely full, as well as Sonic's, who glared at Iggy. "You wish you were me but you aren't! You wish you we-" Iggy suddenly stopped, his eyes going wide. Silver was the first to realize what was wrong with him, standing up quickly, saying. "Crap, he's gonna blow." Right as Silver said it, the rest of them got up, scattering from the table. Shadow took Sonic's hand in his, the other laughing at his friends face. They quickly made their way out of the cafetaria, going to check on whatever patient needed help at the moment, leaving iggy all alone.

The end of the day went by very slow for Sonic and Shadow, but it finally came. Shadow stood infront of the entrance doors, waiting for Sonic. He finally saw his boyfriend walking his way, making him smile at seeing the sparkling emerald eyes meet his own crimson ones. Once Sonic finally got in front of him, he held out his hand, saying. "Ready to go love~?" Sonic grinned, taking the others hand and the both of them walking out into the parking lot, Sonic leaning his head on Shadow's shoulder, walking very close to the other. Shadow stopped at his car, looking over Sonic. "Hey...why don't you come home with me?" Sonic's eyes widened, Shadow had never asked him that in their two weeks of dating. He finally replied, after a long silence. "Where would I sleep?" Shadow smirked, chuckling. "With me in my bed of course~" Sonic blushed, and looked down at the ground, was he ready for that yet? Almost as if he'd be living in Shadow's house with him. See all of his private things, probably get even closer to the other...he wanted that. "Okay, I'll go home with you~" A grin graced Shadow's lips, before he claimed Sonic's quickly, finally pulling back and opening Sonic's door for him, before going over to his side and getting in, starting the car up. Sonic smiled at him, taking Shadow's hand and thinking happily. 'I can't wait to see my boyfriends house~'

Once Shadow opened the door to his house, Sonic looked over everything, walking inside and admiring every detail of the house, grinning. Shadow came up behind him, wrapping his arms around Sonic's waist, and pulling him close. "Do you like the house Sonic~?" The blue one smiled, leaning his head back on Shadow's chest. "Yeah, your house is really cool~" "I'm glad you think so, you can hang out in the living room or just roam the house while I get a shower, okay?" Sonic blushed lightly. "Okay...that sounds fine, are you going to get in the shower now?" "Yeah, I won't be long." Shadow let go of Sonic's waist and kissed his cheek before going down the hall and getting in the shower, leaving Sonic by himself in the forgein house.

Sonic had made his way to Shadow's room, and after looking it over, he plopped on the bed, getting under the covers and getting comfortable. Shadow walked in, with only a towel on, and still dripping wet. Sonic watched Shadow enter the room, his whole muzzle turning red instantly at seeing his boyfriend like that. "Oh, hey Sonikku, didn't think you'd be in my room when I got out." He chuckled, walking over to his dressers, picking some boxers to wear. "I-I was tired and wanted to lay down for abit..." Sonic replied shakily, not able to take his eyes off Shadow. Finally, when Shadow started undoing the knot on his towel Sonic got control of himself, throwing the covers over his head. Shadow had his back to Sonic, letting his towel drop and then getting in his boxers, finally turning around and finding Sonic under the covers, he smirked. Quietly, he walked over to the side of the bed Sonic was on and got under the covers, now face to face with Sonic. The blue one gasped at the sudden face, his eyes widening. "Are you going to take a shower tonight Sonikku~?" Sonic slowly smiled. "Sure, I guess I'll go take one now~" He kissed Shadow on the lips quickly, before getting out from under the covers and going to the bathroom.

Sonic quietly walked into the room, finding Shadow asleep already, his hands behind his head. The blue one giggled, looking in Shadow's dresser for some boxers, finally finding some and crawling into bed next to Shadow. He looked him over for some time before hessitantly snuggling Shadow's side, closing his eyes, and falling asleep quickly, with a smile on.
